The first quarter of 2021 has been an interesting period for puzzle and riddle games on the Android platform in Brazil. Sensor Tower provides us with a closer look at the download, revenue, and active user trends for these engaging applications.
Starting with Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles, we observed a slight decrease in downloads from 124K in the last week of December to 60K by the end of March. Weekly active users also followed a downward trend, dropping from 515K to 434K in the same timeframe. However, revenue showed an upward trend, peaking at 97K USD in the second week of February before ending the quarter at 83K USD.
For Brain Test 2: Tricky Stories, there was a noticeable decline in both downloads and active users. Downloads fell from 119K to 48K, while active users decreased from 450K to 228K throughout the quarter. Revenue fluctuated, reaching its lowest at 32K USD in late February and closing the quarter slightly higher at 41K USD.
Lion Studios' Girl Genius!, which was released at the end of January, saw a surge in downloads, hitting a peak of 684K in early February. Active users also reached a high of 798K in the same month. The game saw an initial spike in downloads to 662K in the first week of January, followed by a decline to 252K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar pattern, peaking at 1.05M in early January and then decreasing to 657K. Revenue for this game was not significant until the end of January but grew to 28K USD by the beginning of March.
